Are you ashamed of the Gospel?
That is the subject of this book by R.T. Kendall.
Today, more than ever, the world hates the Gospel. You hear it in movies, on TV, in politics. The new books on Atheism have became best sellers. Christians are being made fun of. We are called "closed minded", "naive", and "intolerant".
R.T. shows that this is nothing new. Using the phrases stigma and scandal, he shows how Christians in bible times had to deal with the same thing but worse. In fact, they dealt with a lot more than we would ever dream of. Kendall also uses stories from his own life to illustrate.
I enjoyed this book even though I disagree with some of his points. Kendall is a controversial figure. He speaks of that in this book. But I still received a lot of good advise.
The book is a quick read (201 pages). It will only take a couple reading sessions to finish. I would not suggest this book to everyone. If you are having problems speaking to people concerning Jesus, this book is a good encouragement.
